Cloudera Episode 11: Enterprise Data Cloud in Action

Cloudera

The Cloudera Data Platform (CDP) is revolutionising the business technology space. As the world’s first enterprise data cloud, it works to 'manage and secure the data lifecycle across all major public clouds and the private cloud — seamlessly connecting on-premises environments to public clouds for a hybrid experience'.

In this podcast, Scott Taylor welcomes back Paul Mackay, EMEA Cloud Lead from Cloudera, to lend his expertise on how CDP is driving business transformation with cloud-native data and analytics. Paul appeared in episode 1 and episode 7 to lay the foundations of what enterprise data cloud is and explain the benefits of hybrid cloud strategies. This time, he draws on examples from major banks, telcos, and manufacturers to explain some of the use cases that are currently being delivered on CDP.

Cloudera was founded in 2008 by some of the brightest minds at Silicon Valley’s leading companies—including Google (Christophe Bisciglia), Yahoo! (Amr Awadallah), Oracle (Mike Olson), and Facebook (Jeff Hammerbacher). Doug Cutting, co-creator of Hadoop, joined the company in 2009 as Chief Architect and remains in that role.

Cloudera delivers an enterprise data cloud for any data, anywhere, from the Edge to AI. Powered by the relentless innovation of the open source community, Cloudera advances digital transformation for the world's largest enterprises.
