Meet Grok, the first technology out of Elon Musk’s new AI company, xAI, and the latest chatbot to hit the market this year.

What is Grok?

The Tesla CEO, who warned last week that artificial intelligence was "one of the biggest threats to humanity," said the ChatGPT competitor will be available to premium members on his X platform following testing.

Musk also claimed that Grok has access to user posts on X, which he controls, and is known for his snarky answers.

Musk demonstrated Grok's lighthearted tone by posting a screenshot of a query to the chatbot asking for a "step-by-step" guide to producing food.

However, the chatbot adds at the end: “Just kidding! Please don’t actually try to make it. It’s illegal, dangerous, and not something I would ever encourage.”

Just another chatbot?

This comes after Google released their own Chatbot 'Bard', Bard is Google's experimental conversational AI chat service, meant to function similarly to ChatGPT, with the biggest difference being that Google's service will pull its information from the web.

Like most AI chatbots, Bard can code, answer math problems, and help with your writing needs. Will Grok outperform other chatbots such as ChatGPT or Bard? ...or is this just another AI chatbot?
